The campus riots at the University of Missouri, Ithaca, and other campuses around the country have put into perspective how coddled many college students are today.
Opposing opinion is just too difficult to debunk, and it’s necessary to silence any voices that could upset someone else. College students need a “safe space” to avoid anyone who could tell them that their opinion is wrong otherwise they would drop out of college.
No one in the media has taken on this issue better than South Park.
In a recent song parody, the character of Cartman sings about how he feels protected in his safe space.
“Everyone likes me and things are great in my safe space. People don’t judge me and haters don’t hate in my safe space.”
