The sports media giant ESPN issued a statement apologizing after one of their hosts, Jemele Hill, called President Donald Trump a “white supremacist” and a “bigot.”
In the statement from ESPN’s public relations Twitter account, it read, “The comments on Twitter from Jemele Hill regarding the President do not represent the position of ESPN. We have addressed this with Jemele and she recognizes her actions were inappropriate.”

The host of the 6pm edition of SportsCenter, also known as “The Six,” initially blasted singer Kid Rock on Twitter, writing, “He loves black people so much that he pandered to racists by using a flag that unquestionably stands for dehumanizing black people.”
She then got into it with other users in the replies, and called Trump a “white supremacist” among other names.

Hill continued on saying that Trump’s win is a result of white supremacy and that the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia in August prove it.

No the media doesn’t make it a threat. It IS a threat. He has empowered white supremacists (see: Charlottesville).

At this time, there’s no mention about Hill getting suspended. However, in 2008, Hill was suspended for writing in her column that “rooting for the Celtics is like saying Hitler was a victim. It’s like hoping Gorbachev would get to the blinking red button before Reagan.”
