CNN’s Jake Tapper had some fun at the expense of Florida’s gubernatorial candidates Tuesday night.
Tapper began the debate between Republican Gov. Rick Scott and Democratic opponent Charlie Crist with what appeared to be a sly reference to “Fangate”—the seven minutes opening the candidates’ last debate, during which Scott refused to come on stage because Crist had illegally placed a small fan under his podium.
CNN announced early on that neither candidate would be allowed any small electronic devices on stage—including Crist’s infamous fan that travels with him everywhere to abet his sweating problems.
“Everybody’s comfortable here?” Tapper asked.
