The New York Times is out with a video today called “When the President comes to New York” detailing all the work that goes into preparing the city every time Obama ventures to the town for his glitzy fundraisers with liberal elites.
In the video the Times breaks ties with it’s generally pro-Obama viewpoint to address a situation no one enjoys: Being inconvenienced.
“When President Obama comes to New York, streets are shut down, garbage pails disappear and plans are upended,” the narrator proclaims. “President Obama has come to New York 23 times since the beginning of his term, and in the coming months he will undoubtedly return to fundraise.”
As the video details, it’s not just traffic that has to close down, but trashcans and mailboxes have to be removed from streets wherever Obama and his motorcade travel. Airplanes have to be ‘diverted’ to cities as far away as Chicago to clear the airspace for Air Force One.
The video definitely gives great insight into how pesky a Presidential visit of any sort really is and is well worth the 5 minute watch.
