Dems and Donuts: Breaking the law by bribing voters

Liberals and donuts have something in common: they are offering people incentives to vote, and that could be against the law.

Krispy Kreme stores across the country are offering people free donuts if they have an “I Voted” sticker. Similarly, liberal political consultant Matthew Isbell offered pizza to people in line at the Plantation Library in the heavily Democratic Broward County.

Michael McDonald of Florida State University called out Isbell for breaking a federal law which prohibits anyone from giving out something of value for voting, including pizza and donuts.

Isbell wasn’t the only liberal breaking the law during early voting, Saumya Narechania, a progressive campaigning in Florida, was giving out free food in Hillsborough County.

So Krispy Kreme, Isbell, Narechania, Duffy Sports Grill (offering free donuts), Firehouse Subs (free drinks), and Great American Cookie (cookies, obviously) are all giving away something to people with an “I Voted” sticker.

When it was brought up to Matthew Isbell that his actions were illegal, he responded rather passive passive-aggressively.
