Jon Stewart will be leaving “The Daily Show” physically later this year, but fellow comedian and show host John Oliver doesn’t believe that Stewart needs to stop being the face of the show.
Oliver discussed Stewart’s departure on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” Tuesday night and pitched a very unique idea.
“Like most people I would love for him to carry on. But here’s the thing. How about Hologram Jon?” Oliver posed. “He’s said almost every word in the English language. If you can put Oliver Reed in a film that he wasn’t in, surely you can have Hologram Jon, like Tupac, hosting the show. It’s not that complicated.”
“This is a great idea!” Fallon replied. “Comedy Central are you listening? Jon Tupac!”
