Well, we’ve never heard the “Star Spangled Banner” quite like this before.
An impressive video of a man playing the patriotic tune with a Ruger 10/22 and a bunch of steel targets was recently posted to the YouTube account of Musical Targets, the company who made the steel targets. The video has racked up more than 500,000 views since it started circulating over the weekend.
The steel plates are designed to each play a specific note and when played in order can make a full song. It took four magazine changes and 126 rounds of ammunition to get through the “Star Spangled Banner.”
Dan Cannon of GunsSaveLives.net said of the video, “It doesn’t get much more American than this folks.”
We’re inclined to agree.
