American Crossroads released a video today, with the clear cut message that President Barack Obama has got to go this fall.
The ad shows that much of the luster of Obama’s “Hope and Change” has disappeared as the fall’s presidential election draws near.
Obama is quoted in the video as saying, “in two days you can put an end to the politics that would divide a nation just to win an election.”
Despite all the promises candidate Obama made in 2008 that he would be new and different, the video shows how President Obama is running an extremely negative campaign against Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney.
American Crossroads makes the argument that Obama will have no choice but to lash out at Romney because of the dismal economy.
The video features prominent liberals from the President’s own camp who are willing to criticize him, including Newark, N.J. Mayor Cory Booker and liberal publication The Huffington Post’s founder Arianna Huffington. It also goes after the Obama campaign for attacking Romney for his time at private equity firm Bain Capital.
The ad ends with the now famous “Hope” picture of candidate Obama burning up in flames, with the word “FEAR” in place of “Hope” and a clip of President Obama himself saying:
“If you don’t have a record to run on, then you paint your opponent as someone people should run from.”
