Jon Stewart: ‘Thank you Donald Trump for making my last six weeks, my best six weeks’

Jon Stewart will officially step down from The Daily Show this summer, but he couldn’t be happier that his final hoorah will now include covering Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential bid.

“Thank you Donald Trump for making my last six weeks, my best six weeks,” Stewart said. “He is putting me in a comedy hospice.”

Trump kicked off his announcement by blazing down an escalator, reported an overwhelmed Stewart.

“I’m just really happy — a billionaire vanity candidate taking the escalator to the White House,” Stewart said. “I haven’t seen an entrance that majestic since my friend met me at the Gap after grabbing an Orange Julius.”

“…Obviously it was such a stunning announcement, that we have full coverage.”

When he switched to his correspondents, their excitement was so great that they couldn’t even express how great it would be for Trump to become president.
