Generation Opportunity gives “Youth Defender Award” to company that created Obamacare site

Thousands of Americans are upset at the company that created HealthCare.gov, but one organization is presenting them with an award — for defending young people from President Barack Obama’s healthcare law.

Generation Opportunity, an youth advocacy group, is presenting CGI Federal with the “Youth Defender Award,” according to a press release sent out Tuesday. The award — which features an image of the creepy Uncle Sam featured in the videos GenOpp released in September — was given to the company for creating a website that no one can use.

The press release also congratulated the runner-up, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius.

“After all, Sebelius had the foresight to hire CGI knowing they had a track record of protecting patients from government-run health care,” the press release reads. “The Canadian government had previously fired CGI’s parent company for failing to create a functioning website for Ontario’s medical registry.”

Congrats, CGI Federal! You’re doing stellar work to help young Americans.
