Professor tells conservative student to ‘shut up, f–k your life’

A Brookdale Community College professor is under investigation after a video was released showing him yelling “f–k your life” at a conservative student in the class.

According to NJ Advance Media, the outburst occurred after student Christopher Lyle challenged his professor, Howard Finkelstein, by suggesting that women and men alike can be victims of sexual crimes.

Video of the incident circulating on social media shows Finkelstein aggressively asking Lyle if he really took “the time to think about how that might impact [inaudible],” though Lyle was interrupted while attempting to respond.

“No, I’m asking you. F–k your life!” Finkelstein shouted while slamming the table, as Lyle asked him why he was “disrespecting me right now.”

Although it is not immediately clear from the video what was being discussed, Lyle as well as his classmates have commented that the conversation grew tense after Lyle questioned his professor’s views on sexual assault.

In fact, student Joey Smith, who recorded the incident, told NJ Advance Media that Finkelstein often targets Lyle during class.

“He is basically just lecturing this one student for the whole period. We are sitting there and he is speaking directly to Chris, going back and forth about personal thoughts,” he remarked, telling APP. com that “Chris is a part of his lesson plan.”

“He’ll ask Chris a question, then try to convince Chris in front of the class what is right and wrong,” Smith continued.

Additionally, Lyle claims that he has often been told to “shut up” by his professor, who has stated in front of the class that Lyle’s opinions are the “reason America is not great.”

“I am being discriminated against at my school because of my beliefs. It’s a shame,” Lyle said.

While the school has denied to comment on the incident since the investigation is ongoing, it did release a statement on its closed investigation into Lyle, who was investigated after his college discovered that he was a gun owner.

“It is in the best interest of all members of our community for the college to do its due diligence when a student or employee mentions firearms during the process of an investigation. The matter concerning the student’s statements about firearms has been investigated and the incident is closed,” the statement read.

Red Alert Politics reached out to Brookdale Community College for comment on the incident, but did not receive a response in time for publication.
