Not all students were receptive to a picture that pro-life students at the University of Texas, San Antonio, posted on social media promoting their beliefs, resulting in some extreme rhetoric.
“YES! #DefundPP,” a tweet posted by Students for Life proclaims, picturing two UTSA students holding signs reading, “I Am The Pro-Life Generation,” advocating for the removal of federal funding of abortion provider Planned Parenthood.

Students and Twitter users weren’t shy about voicing their criticism for pro-life beliefs, one going as far as to say he would “abort a baby” if he ever saw “these girls or their org on campus…”

The same Twitter user continued in another tweet, “all babies must have the chance to commit sepuku if they want to,” referring to a form of Japanese ritual suicide.

Others claimed that “PP saves lives,” and that the pro-life women were “ruining good things for other people.”

“Hey I know them! Awesome ladies! The girl with the glasses is a member of Students For The Right to Life at UTSA– you can reach out to them with the disagreements you have!” another student countered, describing the pro-life activists pictured.

But user, Peyton Dillberg, countered the flood of negative messages.

The UTSA-based Antifa group, Revolutionary Horizon UTSA, pushed the conversation to extreme rhetoric in their attack of Peyton Dillberg.

In December 2017, Revolutionary Horizon UTSA made headlines for demanding that university police disarm and disband completely within six months. Additionally, in January, the group posted a video of anonymous Antifa members torching Immigration and Customs Enforcement fliers on UTSA’s campus.
This isn’t the first time members of Students for the Right to Life at UTSA have been harassed.
On March 30, the pro-life student group accused community members of vandalizing their pro-life signs on campus.

Students for the Right to Life at UTSA describe themselves as “students from the University of Texas at San Antonio who promote respect for every human person.”
