Colbert ‘dine-and-ditches’ Hillary Clinton [VIDEO]

With the intense campaigning surrounding Tuesday’s New York primary, Stephen Colbert invited Hillary Clinton to lunch at the Carnegie Deli, “where they serve sandwiches as big as a baby’s head,” in order “to get some insight into this election.”

While Bill Clinton is a vegan, Hillary assured Colbert that he’s not “a smug vegan,” and won’t be giving her any grief for her lunch choice. “Legally, that makes him not a vegan,” according to Colbert.

Hillary was asked more difficult questions, such as what she had in common with Donald Trump, “other than the fact that you have beautiful daughters, and you both were at his wedding.” She deflected the question since she’s  “not sure yet,” and moved on to explaining that she can find common ground with Congress once she’s elected.

Colbert and Hillary bemoaned Washington, D.C. “Whenever I’m done there, I want to get out of there as fast as I can,” Colbert said.

Colbert also compared a meat slicer to what Republicans want to do to Hillary. “When I actually have a job, as opposed to running for a job, I actually get things done with the Republicans,” she claimed. To much applause from the audience, she “absolutely” thinks they will work with her, and seemed serious.

Colbert also did his Bill Clinton impression and ate a piece of cheesecake with his hands before running out on the check.
