UPDATE: Fox and Friends Sunday just announced a statement from the Trump campaign, saying Flowers will not be at the debate as a guest of the campaign.
Even if Donald Trump doesn’t reach the oval office come November, his troll status is nothing less than presidential.
On Saturday, the Republican nominee invited former President Bill Clinton’s ex-mistress, Gennifer Flowers, to the first presidential debate on Monday at Hofstra University in Hempstead, NY.
The news came after Hillary Clinton’s campaign revealed that they had invited Trump antagonist and billionaire, Mark Cuban, to the debate.
Trump tweeted this as a response:
After Trump’s camp invited Flowers to the debate, her assistant confirmed that she had accepted to BuzzFeed’s Andrew Kaczynski.
She later tweeted:
It’s an odd chess move by the candidates to throw each other off during the debate.
For millennials who don’t know who Gennifer Flowers is, she’s a model and actress who was revealed to have a sexual relationship with President Clinton when he testified under oath during the Monica Lewinsky scandal.
Clinton said in his 1998 testimony that the affair with Flowers happened in the 1980’s, when Bill was the governor of Arkansas and Flowers was a state employee. She alleged during Bill’s 1992 presidential campaign that she had an affair with him for 12 years, to which he immediately denied.
Prior to Clinton’s presidency, Flowers posed nude for Penthouse magazine and starred in two films and a tv show.
Hillary might be unfazed by the move seeing as how the encounter happened almost 40 years ago, but some of her supporters have had some amusing reactions:
Get ready for a wild debate on Monday night!
