Comic book spotlights ‘female force’ Hillary Clinton as she races for the White House

And you thought the Hillary Clinton coloring book was cool.

Independent publishing company Bluewater Productions has released a biographical comic book about Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton entitled “Female Force: Hillary Clinton: The Road to the White House.”

The comic, according to a press release circulated Monday evening, will beg the following questions about Clinton as she makes her second bid for the White House in 2016: “Can she run on her record? Her likability? And how will lingering questions about Benghazi and her email inform her choice?”

Bluewater has been printing political comics since 2008 to both entertain consumers and educate them about current events.

“These informative and entertaining books should teach readers about the candidates,” explained Bluewater publisher and president Darren G. Davis. “Comic books have grown up; they’re not just for kids anymore.”

Other comic books produced by the company have spotlighted former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, former Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin, and President Obama, among others.

In August, Bluewater will come out with a comic about socialist Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders, and the company also plans to roll out biographies of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, and Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren.

But writer Michael Frizell is particularly tickled by Clinton, labeling her a “fascinating person” about whom to write.

“I am drawn to powerful personalities,” Frizell said. “At times, she can be divisive, which makes her fun to write.”

“The research I needed to conduct was rigorous, as was the writing process,” he added. “I needed to think like a storyteller and notate like a reporter. The storytelling aspects inherent in creative nonfiction make comic books about real people a challenge.”

Frizell noted that Bluewater places emphasis on “stay[ing] nonpartisan and simply tell[ing] engaging stories.”

Print copies of the Clinton comic are available for purchase on Amazon and Ingram for as low as $3.99.
