Rand Paul Electrifies CPAC

Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) was on fire Thursday at CPAC, transforming from a mild mannered Senator to his father’s son in the blink of an eye. Paul echoed many of the themes and elements communicated by his dad, GOP presidential candidate and Texas Congressman Ron Paul.

“I have a question for the President,” Rand said as he took the stage. “Do you hate all rich people or just the ones who aren’t campaign contributors?”

Rand discussed President Obama’s failed policies, ranging from the implications of an inflated bureaucracy to Obama’s liberal policies.

”This election may be the last best chance America,” Paul remarked.

He opined the importance of finding the next Ronald Reagan, and cultivating a new generation and stressed the importance of preserving American exceptionalism.

America is great because it embraces individual liberty.”

Paul’s speech was warmly received by CPAC goers, proving he’ll be a force to be reckoned with come 2016 GOP presidential primary time if Republicans don’t take back the White House this November.

As a fellow contributor aptly summed up the speech, “He’s everything his father wished he could be.”
