Shaquille O’Neal in the house! The New Jersey Statehouse, that is.
The former NBA legend and New Jersey native dropped by on Friday to chat with Republican Gov. Chris Christie. Shaq wanted to discuss getting involved in a gun buyback program, Christie told The Daily Record, adding that the celebrity had “good ideas.”
“We’ll do something with him,’’ the Governor told The Record.
Since retiring from basketball, Shaq has become more involved in his home state and is co-owner of a movie theater in Newark.
Christie also tweeted out a picture of himself shaking hands with 7-foot-1 Shaq.

No word on whether or not the two men shared any of the former basketball player’s “Luv Shaq” vodka during their meeting.
