Rep. John Boehner (R-Ohio) took a trip to a San Diego pub, where, according to local reports, he had second thoughts about hitting the dance floor.
Boehner nearly ventured out for the last dance, Led Zeppelin’s “Whole Lotta Love,” witness Lisa Tresner told eCoronado.com: “It looked like Mr. Boehner was going to dance with us…He stood up and started to dance a little bit, but as people started shooting video he and the Secret Service made their escape.”
At the site, Coronado’s McP’s Irish Pub, Boehner posed for pictures sporting a T-shirt, short, and a baseball hat.
Perhaps Boehner was afraid he wouldn’t live up to the standards set by colleagues Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie in the Hamptons, where their gyrations impressed the likes of Jamie Foxx and Jack Nicholson.
But c’mon, Boehner—someone needs to challenge Mary Landrieu at the Wobble.
