Sure, most news stations indulge in some cheesy Santa-themed stories around this time of year. But this Houston NBC affiliate took things to a whole new, and somewhat frightening, level.
The reporter “tracking” Saint Nick on his “triple turbo super Santa seeker Doppler radar” went a little crazy for the act, frantically pushing buttons on his phone that were obviously not there, and mustering up a truly impressive amount of enthusiasm.
But the Emmy Award for this segment should definitely go to the reporters in the background, who put on a big show of dramatically rifling through wire reports and throwing paper around in despair.
