Sean Penn expresses a low view of women in profanity-laced speech in France

Actor Sean Penn let his low view of women show in a profanity-laced speech at the “Haiti: Carnival In Cannes” gala in Cannes, France Friday night.

‘Tell the man next to you, I’m not going to f**k you tonight unless you pay the f**k up,” the controversial actor and left-wing activist said, essentially urging women to get their male dates to make more donations, so they could have sex with him.

The vodka-induced speech included several expletives referencing women using the promise of sex to entice their male dates to donate more money to Haiti.

Penn made several profanity-laced comments during his drunken speech, including:

  • “F**k ’em if people say you’re just writing a cheque, but you’re making a change.”
  • “I want you to stay here and listen to the auction and beat the s*** out of each other to purchase them,” referencing the Haiti charity benefits auction.
  • “[F]ight the f**k out of politics’ – His opinion of what it took to develop a relief effort in Haiti that he deemed adequate.

The gala included several A-list celebrities, including: Ben Stiller, Giorgio Armani and Jessica Chastain.

This is not the first time Mr. Penn has resorted to inflammatory statements related to his relief efforts in Haiti.

When asked in 2010 for his opinion of the critics who questioned if the motivation for his work in Haiti was just a publicity stunt, his reply was “You know, do I hope that those people die screaming of rectal cancer? Yeah.”

Penn was also involved in highly publicized relief efforts during the Hurricane Katrina aftermath, where he was physically involved in rescuing victims displaced by the hurricane. Some have questioned the motives behind the relief efforts, as a photographer accompanied Penn during his rescue efforts.
