Alec Baldwin wants to dunk Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.
During his Reddit AMA Tuesday, the actor was asked by a Reddit user to name the person in the world he would most like put in a dunk tank for three hours.
Baldwin decided to get political on the question despite the fact that most of his conversation on Reddit centered around his acting career.
His response:
I’m really feeling like Mitch needs to go in the dunk tank right now. For a good six months to a year.
It would be to fight the Keystone pipeline, where else?!?
I wouldn’t charge much. Because I want everyone to experience the joy of flinging Mitch McConnell into the dunk tank. That isn’t something to be reserved for the wealthy.
One respondent had what Jon Stewart would likely label the perfect counterargument: “Yeah, but turtles can swim,” wrote the user.
Baldwin also introduced politics into the conversation later on when one individual asked him to name his “dream guest” for his “Here’s The Thing” podcast.
“Obama would be one,” Baldwin answered. “I want to ask him what it’s like to be the president, and how was it not what he thought it would be, you know? What were his preconceptions of it, and how was it different, because I have a lot of suspicions about that, for all presidents, regardless their background.”
Perhaps Baldwin’s apparent interest in politics stems from his new gig playing the mayor of New York City in an unnamed HBO series.
The actor also answered inquiries about “30 Rock,” his favorite films of 2014, and his preferred breakfast.
