Former Texas Gov. Rick Perry, who became best known during the 2012 election cycle for his “Oops” debate gaffe, did not escape gaffe-free from Fox News 5 p.m. debate for low-polling candidates.
In response to a question about immigration, Perry seemingly messed up the name of conservative icon Ronald Reagan.
“For 30 years this country has been baited with that,” Perry said. “All the way back to when Ronald Raven signed a piece of legislation that basically allowed for amnesty for over 4 million people and the border is still not secure.”
Twitter had some fun with the slip of the tongue.

According to Mediaite, a Perry campaign spokesperson denied this mistake and said that the candidate “clearly said Ronald Reagan.”
