Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker’s (R) recall challenger wants to spend $100 million…on a trolley.

Walker’s campaign has a new campaign ad out that highlights the stark contrast between his plan to limit state spending and his Democratic challenger’s plans for more “reckless spending”.

If elected, Walker claims that Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett wants to spend $100 million dollars on a trolley for the city of Milwaukee.

For a state that is still recovering from a $3 billion dollar deficit, $100 million for a trolley certainly is “reckless spending.”

Walker goes on to mention how Wisconsin eliminated that deficit during his term by making government more efficient, which ended up saving the taxpayers over $1 billion dollars.

In addition to drastically reducing taxes, Walker highlights how he was able to create over 30,000 jobs as a result of his fiscal policies.

The recall election is only two weeks away, and recent voter polls show Walker pulling away from Barrett.  Walker’s record of fiscal conservatism looks like it will pay off at the polls.
