Democrats use picture of Polish veterans for U.S. military outreach

The Democratic Party’s outreach webpage to American veterans had been using a photograph of Polish veterans in an accidental mishap.

Until Thursday, the Democratic National Committee used a picture of Polish veterans President Obama met on a 2011 visit to Warsaw, according to the Military Times.

In the picture, the Polish White Eagle, a national symbol, is prominently displayed as part of the military uniform.

“While largely harmless, the error points to a common complaint among U.S. veterans groups about the lack of knowledge of many Americans about military life, tradition and challenges,” Leo Shane III wrote for the Military Times.

The DNC corrected the error within 90 minutes after the Military Times alerted them.

A cached version of the page shows the error.
