Alec Baldwin indicated that he still doesn’t like New York City after his latest public episode.
The actor and phenomenal tweeter was stopped by police in Manhattan Tuesday morning for riding his bike the wrong way down a one-way street. He was asked to show his ID and refused, and reportedly began to act belligerently, prompting a vintage outburst.
“He became belligerent, yelling and screaming at the officers: ‘I don’t have ID. Just give me the f—g summonses!’” a source told the New York Post.
That they did. The cops cuffed Baldwin and took him and his bicycle to a nearby precinct, where he was charged with disorderly conduct and riding a bike the wrong way down a one-way street. He was later released to the world and the Internet, pending a July 24 court date.
Officer Moreno, badge number 23388, arrested me and handcuffed me for going the wrong way on Fifth Ave

(Law-enforcement sources said there is no officer by the name of “Moreno” at the precinct to which Baldwin was taken, the Post reported.)
Meanwhile, photographers outside my home ONCE AGAIN terrified my daughter and nearly hit her with a camera. The police did nothing.

New York City is a mismanaged carnival of stupidity that is desperate for revenue and anxious to criminalize behavior once thought benign.

In February, Baldwin wrote a New York magazine cover story decrying the constant tabloid coverage of his comings-and-goings in New York City, saying he “probably” needs to move out of the city and suggested he may soon be calling Los Angeles home.
