Buzzfeed writers joke about killing Trump

Buzzfeed has become one of the leading vocal critics against the President and conservatives, going out of their way to print unverified stories about Trump during the campaign. Despite presenting themselves as an honest news source, Buzzfeed writers joked about their hatred for Trump and even joked about him being assassinated.

Big League Politics reported on Thursday that Buzzfeed writers Maycie Thornton, Nick Guillory, Mariana Uribe, and Kari Koeppel all joked how they couldn’t believe that Trump was winning the Presidential election and hoped someone assassinated him.

“I keep telling myself it won’t happen but like I don’t know,” Uribe wrote to her colleagues. “It’s def gone farther than I thought it would.”

“Yeah, It’s scary close,” Guillory replied.

“Maybe someone will assassinate him,” Thornton commented.

“Lol Maycie, I have thought the same thing,” Koeppel interjected.

The leaked images came from former Buzzfeed writer Tim “Treadstone” Gionet, better known to the alt-right as Baked Alaska. He told Big League Politics that this wasn’t the first time they joked about killing Trump and had an office party when Justice Scalia passed away unexpectedly in 2016.

Quickly after the story was released, Guillory, Koeppel, and Thorton all changed their Twitter accounts to private, so no one could check if they were openly biased on social media.
