America fell in love with Ken Bone almost from the moment they saw him; he represented something peculiar, sincere, and humorous about politics today. Liberals, however, saw everything that they hate: a white guy who cared about policy and refused to just pick the lesser of two evils, who in their opinion is Hillary Clinton.
Comedian Bill Maher ended Friday’s episode of Real Time by attacking Bone and calling him dumb.
“This is Ken Bone, who asked a question at last week’s debate and since then has become a folk hero. Why?” Maher said on his show. “Why? Because after 15 months of this debate, he’s still too stupid to pick Hillary over President pussy grabber?”
Maher’s monologue was only the latest in a series of attacks by the media on Bone’s character. At this point, journalists have done more research on Bone than they’ve done into Wikileaks.
The Real Time host continued his tirade asking why, after all of Trump’s gaffes and insults towards various peoples and groups, he was still undecided.
“There was no breaking point for you? When he said he would kill the children of terrorists with drone strikes, physically throwing out 12 million Mexicans, banning all Muslims, giving Saudi Arabia nukes, running a scam university, cheating veterans out of charity money, not paying taxes, picking Putin as his favorite leader, not being able to let go of a feud for a whole week with a beauty queen, the impressions of the handicapped, nothing?” Maher ranted.
Almost all of Maher’s charges were either lies, factually incorrect, or gross exaggerations, but he didn’t stop there. He went on to slam Iowans, who are supporting Trump in most polls, voters who supported Gov. Rick Scott in Florida, and Bernie voters who are casting ballots for Gary Johnson.
To elitists like Maher, people who are not obsessed with politics in every single way are stupid and deserve to have their voting rights taken away.
Maher doesn’t see people like Bone as his countrymen; he sees them as an inconvenience. He and progressives of his ilk need to mock and pressure them into believing exactly what progressives support.
It’s possible that Bone is looking at Clinton’s scandals: her private e-mail server, Haiti, her flip-flopping on fracking, her disrespect for President Obama, the multiple claims that she silenced victims of sexual assault, her calls for a North American Union, the fact that she lied under oath on several occasions, the allegations of arms for donations to the Clinton Foundation, or her support for new wars.
Nothing? Or should none of those issues having to deal with international relations and foreign policy as well as character matter. No, Democrats just need to win whether or not they’re supporting a progressive or the left-wing version of Dick Cheney.
For Maher, selling out everything he believes in ensuring Clinton wins is politics as usual, but Bone being indecisive after looking at these two very flawed candidates is stupidity personified.
