If there’s one thing MSNBC’s Now with Alex Wagner panel learned today, it’s not to mess with Rep. Raúl Labrador (R-Idaho).
While appearing on the show to discuss immigration reform, Bill Burton, executive vice president at Global Strategy Group, chastised Labrador for not being able to deviate from his talking points when addressing Republicans’ stance on immigration reform.
But Labrador, who was appearing at the U.S. Capitol, disagreed.
“You know, I don’t speak on talking points and that’s totally offensive,” Labrador said. “If you want to have a debate or a discussion we can do that. I actually have my own … I was an immigration lawyer for 15 years. I think I know more than you do about immigration and immigration reform.”
Wagner attempted to smooth things over between the Idaho congressman and Burton, saying Burton wasn’t trying to insult Labrador, but he wasn’t quite convinced.
