June is gay pride month across the country and while LGBTQAIPS Americans celebrate the tolerance, equality, and progress made over the last few decades, they’re not as inclusive as they claim to be.
Ivanka Trump has been one of the most vocal supporters of gay Americans that the White House has ever had. She’s even gone so far as preventing her father from signing an executive order that the LGBT community would have been viewed as hostile. Yet, despite all her efforts, when she wished everyone a happy pride month, she received a wave of hate.

The Advocate slammed her because her efforts to be a voice for gay Americans happens behind the scenes. They go on to say she doesn’t publicly criticize her father, therefore they assume it doesn’t actually really happen and said her support is limited to watching Modern Family.
“A real ally — someone who had actually given LGBT people their ‘support,'” The Advocate said. “Would say what they believe out loud, in public, with other people in the room. If you’re a politician, those other people should have notepads or audio recorders or, even better, video cameras.”
The gay publication isn’t the only one criticizing Ivanka. LGBT allies attacked her on Twitter and thoroughly isolated the best advocate they have in the White House.
