President Obama entertained middle school students at Anacostia Library in Washingon, D.C., Thursday where he discussed his favorite books.
“I’m still a big Dr. Seuss fan,” Obama answered when quizzed about his reading habits as a youngster. “I was into adventure stories. There was something called The Hardy Boys back in the day.”
The president, who was speaking to the crowd of approximately 40 students about two new digital education initiatives, also named “The Lord of the Rings” and “The Hobbit” as two of his favorites.
He also added that he took a liking to more advanced books like “Of Mice and Men” and “The Great Gatsby” as he matured.
Ranging from Dr. Seuss’ cats in hats to Gatsby’s luxurious parties, the president’s literary preferences sure are diverse.
