SkyMall has filed for bankruptcy and Jimmy Kimmel aired an “In MeMALLiam” for the the catalog Monday night, reminiscing about some of his favorite items.
But as he thought back on the carry on luggage scooter, beard hat, and life-size Bigfoot Garden Yeti statue, Kimmel realized that as much as he loved looking at the catalog. He never actually bought any of the items.
He wondered how long it would take to find to find someone on Hollywood Boulevard who had actually purchased from SkyMall. It took a while to find someone who would own up to purchasing some of the crazy items in the catalog, but Kimmel’s team did it.
“We’re going to miss ’em,” the couple that had previously purchased items said. They said they had bought “necklaces” for their four dachshunds through the in-flight catalog.
“Well, maybe if you had bought more they wouldn’t be going out of business,” Kimmel’s assistant commented.
