Juan Williams: Liberal media will kill you

Journalist Juan Williams has lashed out at the liberal media, setting the record straight that it is the media, not conservatives, who will crucify anyone who disagrees with them.

“I always thought it was the Archie Bunkers of the world, the right-wingers of world, who were more resistant and more closed-minded about hearing the other side,” Williams told The Daily Caller. “In fact, what I have learned is, in a very painful way – and I can open this shirt and show you the scars and the knife wounds – is that it is big media institutions who are identifiably more liberal to left-leaning who will shut you down, stab you and kill you, fire you, if they perceive that you are not telling the story in the way that they want it told.”

And Williams is living proof. He was fired from the left-leaning National Public Radio in 2010 after he made a racist comment on Fox News’ “The O’Reilly Factor” in regards to being seated next to Muslim people on planes, saying, “I get worried. I get nervous;” although, he was only using that as an example to make a larger point about “religious intolerance,” according to The Daily Caller.

The liberal media is not the Emmy winner’s only punching bag of the past year. He took a shot at Twitchy founder/CEO Michelle Malkin on Fox News’ “Hannity” last summer while they were debating the Obama administration’s decision to release papers regarding a covert CIA agent.

“I’ll tell you what, Michelle,” he said, when he resorted to insults as the only acceptable argument. “I’m a real reporter. I’m not a blogger out in the blogosphere somewhere.” His demeaning remarks not only pitted him against Malkin, but seemed to many bloggers to make Williams part of the mainstream media that he has now admitted will “kill you.”

Williams, somehow, still serves as a political commentator on Fox News programs, including “Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace” and “The Five.”
