Variety’s Inauguration cover explains exactly why Trump won the election

Hollywood celebrities have tried to have a major voice in this past year’s election, and whether you like it or not, they failed. Hillary Clinton had the support of almost all of Hollywood in this past election, from celebrities like Madonna, Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Demi Lovato, Lady Gaga, to even the president himself. In addition to Clinton’s Hollywood support, some celebrities even came out to say if she loses, they will leave the country.

On the other hand, celebrities like Mike Rowe of the TV show “Dirty Jobs” wanted no part in encouraging people to vote for a certain candidate (i.e. Hillary Clinton), or even encouraging people to vote.

“So all I really said was by all means vote, don’t let anybody tell you that you can’t vote or that you shouldn’t vote,” Rowe stated in an interview with Fox News in October. “But if you’re a public figure and you’re going to go out and say, ‘Hey, look at the Second Amendment is a fantastic right, everybody should go get a gun,’ I think people would be like, ‘Wait a minute, really everybody? Are you sure?'”

Despite all of the high profile support Clinton had, she still lost. Even after the election, celebrities were still trying to convince electors to vote for someone other than Donald Trump (and failed again). Now that the electors have voted Trump into office, celebrities like Michael Moore, Alec Baldwin, and Mark Ruffalo are going to protest Trump’s win and hold a rally in front of Trump Tower.

This past week, Variety published its “Inauguration Issue,” and the cover for it explains exactly why Trump got elected president.

Brandon Victor Dixon, Michael Moore, Lena Dunham, Chelsea Handler, and Van Jones grace the cover of this week’s issue with the caption “Now What?” They are all poised and holding up an American flag. Each of them wrote an individual article within the issue on why they do not believe Trump should be in office.

Can you see what’s wrong with this? The average American has not been mentioned anywhere. This explains perfectly why Hollywood got Trump elected. The media lost touch with the people that follow them closely, so they turned to celebrities instead, and that’s how they got Trump elected.

On another note, I’m pretty sure letting the flag touch the ground is incredibly disrespectful.
