House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) took some to “look incredible” with rapper Macklemore and producer Ryan Lewis on Monday, meeting up with the duo on Capitol Hill.
The three apparently sat down in Hoyer’s office to discuss ways to get youth more involved in politics and service. Macklemore has been popping up in politics more often lately, recently starring in an American Civil Liberties Union advertisement.
The Congressman also tweeted out a photo of the meeting, saying it was “great.”

Lewis and Macklemore didn’t tweet about the conversation, however.
The rapper, best known for his single “Thrift Shop”, was in town for a show at the Verizon Center on Monday night. He also posted pics of his D.C. visit to his Instagram. Lewis and Macklemore apparently went on a White House tour.
Hoyer’s office did not return request for additional information about the meeting, but it appears that Macklemore and Hoyer did not go thrift shopping together.
