If you thought Republicans were the party of no fun, oh boy, you’re missing out.
On Saturday, New Hampshire Senator Kelly Ayotte held a campaign event at the University of New Hampshire and gave out campaign swag in the form of condoms to reach millennials.

Ayotte is locked in a tight Senate race with her Democratic challenger Governor Maggie Hassan, who is leading the incumbent 48 to 46 percent in a recent WBUR/MassINC poll.
Gov. Hassan wasted no time attacking her opponent for attempting to cover up her record of making birth control less accessible for women, alleging that Ayotte is “putting party before women’s health.”
“Kelly Ayotte has voted to defund Planned Parenthood six times, and has introduced sham legislation that the American Congress of OB-GYNs has said would make birth control more expensive and less accessible,” Meira Bernstein, Hassan’s campaign press secretary, said in a written statement on Hassan’s website. “But despite Ayotte’s attempts to rewrite her record and fool Granite Staters into thinking she wants to protect their access to birth control, Ayotte’s record of voting to block access to critical health services, including affordable birth control, for New Hampshire women is clear.”
Despite being on the receiving end of such criticism, Ayotte has bigger problems on her hands, especially the impact that Donald Trump will have on the down ballot races.
Sen. Ayotte has been so fearful of Trump being on top of the party ticket and alienating his supporters that she announced back in May that she plans to support, but not endorse the Republican nominee.
Yet, despite Ayotte’s comments made earlier this year, the Republican Senator isn’t sweating any of it, brushing off Trump’s unfavorability rating in an interview with Herald Radio, saying, “My race is really about who is going to be New Hampshire’s voice in the Senate.”
In the same interview, when asked if she still feels that Trump is the best candidate for the White House, Ayotte replied, “Yes, I do.”
