Red Alert Politics editor Francesca Chambers joined “The Big Picture” host Thom Hartmann, a progressive, Horace Cooper, National Center for Public Policy Research, a conservative, and Sam Bennett, Women’s Campaign Fund / She Should Run, another progressive, Friday night for “The Big Picture’s” nightly rumble.
In Friday’s episode, Francesca pointed out that the sequester could have been avoided or the way the sequester was implemented could have been amended so the cuts didn’t hit so hard in certain areas and hit harder in others. She also undercut the Left’s argument that eliminating section 5 of the Voting Rights Act (VRA) would pave the way for Southern states to adopt ‘racist’ voter ID laws by noting that several of the states covered by section 5 of the VRA already have Voter ID laws in place.
