There was a time not so long ago that “Funny or Die” videos use to make people laugh. Those days are long gone, though, and now they are a place where B-list celebrities can rant and rave about political opinions for people who easily swayed by popular opinion.
Amber Rose, Patti LuPone, a couple of the ladies from Big Bang Theory, Glee, and the guy from Modern Family teamed up with people even less famous than them to sing a pro-Hillary version of “We Are The World.” Unlike the original which inspired people to come together to solve a crisis in Africa during the 1980’s, this song was created solely to bash Donald Trump and compare the Republican nominee to a sexually transmitted disease, a garbage fire, and Hitler.
The policy-free video is a reminder to all people who don’t care about politics and don’t usually vote to come out and cast a ballot for Hillary, because voting for a third-party candidate is a waste and supporting the Democrats is popular — even Kanye West’s ex-girlfriend says so!
Even more disappointing is the fact the video wasn’t funny, not even a little bit. Semi-famous people making fun of the fact that their not really well known is not humorous, it’s sad. Saying F*** every 15 seconds is also not funny, especially when you’re holding a baby in your arms.
Being able to make a video that shocks a 10-year old doesn’t make you an artist or a political analyst, it makes you an appalling fame whore.
For more than a year liberals have claimed that nearly every criticism of Hillary is sexist and one C-list celebrity even threatened to chop-off men’s penises if they called the Democratic nominee a neo-con.
Yet all they can come up with as a reason to vote for her is that she is not Trump, who is Hitler and an STD.
It lacked creativity, reason, and even people singing on key. There are a lot of reasons not to vote for Trump, even more not to vote for Clinton, but these “celebrities” aren’t smart enough to know but hey, at least their famous.
