As the Democrats Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders debated Wednesday night, it wasn’t so much topics like immigration that got attention. Rather, as Jimmy Kimmel pointed out, it was more so the color of Bernie Sanders’ suit.
His suit and tie were a dark shade of brown. Kimmel resurrected the viral color battle last year of #TheDress to figure out the color of the suit. Even a spokesperson was confused. As Kimmel mentioned:
To much reaction and applause from the audience, Kimmel pointed out “that suit is so brown, Donald Trump wants to have it deported.”
About a Twitter battle that ensued, Kimmel called it “a debate about the debate” and said it was like “Election Inception.” More important to Kimmel though was not so much the color of Sanders’ suit, “but that he was successfully able to dress himself.”
Kimmel’s favorite part of the debate was a translator helping a woman ask her question in Spanish. To make it even better, Kimmel dubbed the translator so that he was discussing with the woman the color of Sanders’ suit.
