[WATCH] Alec Baldwin ridicules Melissa Harris-Perry for tear-filled apology

Alec Baldwin sure has a lot of nerve criticizing someone for apologizing. But alas, the former MSNBC host attempted to pull a not-so-funny one-liner about Melissa Harris-Perry’s tearful apology to 2012 Republican Presidential nominee Mitt Romney.

Baldwin is no stranger to apologies, his most recent of which — for hurling homophobic slurs at paparazzi — cost him a brand new show on MSNBC. But the controversial star just had to get a piece of the action regarding his former colleague Harris-Perry’s apology to Romney, mocking the host for getting choked up.

Baldwin took to his Twitter account, which has been deactivated and reactivated multiple times due to his insults, to ridicule the Nerdland host.

“If I cry, will I be forgiven all of my transgressions?” Baldwin wrote.

The tweet was ultimately deleted, but not before followers retweeted and responded.

He even tried his alligator-tears bit out on the Internal Revenue Service.

Harris-Perry apologized to Romney during her show Saturday for attempting to make a joke about the lack of diversity in the GOP at the expense of Romney’s adopted grandson Kieran. While apologizing and discussing transracial adoption, Harris-Perry began to tear up.

And in response, Romney, during an appearance on Fox News Sunday, accepted her apology, saying he recognized people make mistakes.

But mistakes are aplenty for Baldwin, and the public doesn’t let him off the hook so easily.
