In an attempt to honor President Abraham Lincoln, the Jacob Carruthers Center for Inner City Studies at Northeastern Illinois University displayed a plaque for the 16th President. But the display features one glaring error, The Washington Times reported.
“This building is dedicated to public service honoring the memory of Abraham Lincoln Democrat,” the plaque reads.
President Lincoln, though, was not a Democrat, but a Republican.
A photo of the plaque has gone viral on Twitter, with many users expressing their disgust toward the university’s gaffe.
