Bill Maher hammers liberals for political correctness

Outspoken late-night host Bill Maher delivered quite the blistering rant against “political correctness Nazis” on Friday and slammed his fellow liberals for their roles as PC police.

While Maher lambasted Republicans for employing “tactics” like voter identification laws — “cheating,” he called it — to win elections, he made a point to include liberals in his rant during the “New Rules” segment on “Real Time.”

“As a a comedian, I don’t like it when the political correctness Nazis hound me to censor every joke and apologize for every slight, and when I have to learn to pronounce words like chai and quinoa, I just want to shove a head of kale up their a**,” Maher said.

The outspoken liberal spoke of actress Gwyneth Paltrow’s divorce, which she called a “conscious uncoupling,” and said her choice wording made him want to “jump in the truck, crank up the Lynyrd Skynyrd and shoot up a farmer’s market.”

“I also, for example, think it’s ridiculous that Facebook has now decided that we have to choose in our profile from 56 different genders, including transgender, cisgender, and, of course, bruce-gender,” he quipped.

Maher went on to denounce demonstrators who protest a business in the nature of political correctness.

“You know, I once almost ate at Chick-Fil-A just because so many people were telling me I shouldn’t eat at Chick-Fil-A,” he said. “But, then I remembered, it’s a Chick-Fil-A.”

Maher even criticized atheists — he doesn’t consider himself one, but doesn’t believe in religion — for their constant outrage over the cross.

“Like, when they sued to have a cross taken down from a building,” he scoffed. “Oh, for f**ks sake, we are atheists, not vampires. If you can’t handle seeing a cross now and then, you picked the wrong country.”
