Spirit Airlines offers ‘We’re Not Smoking Crack’ discount on flights to Toronto

Ever wanted to travel to Toronto, Canada on a whim? Well, now’s the perfect opportunity to do so, as low-budget carrier Spirit Airlines is offering a new promotion on travel to the Queen City based on the scandal surrounding Toronto Mayor Rob Ford.

As part of Spirit’s “We’re Not Smoking Crack” deal, Americans can travel to the Toronto area on selected dates in November and December for as little as $29.90 each way – including applicable taxes and fees (baggage charges may apply, however). Interested flyers better hurry, as the sale ends at 11:59pm on November 15.

“We’re not smoking crack…our fares are really that low,” the advertisement reads.

Spirit Airlines is known for its quirky, pop culture-related advertisements. Shortly after former New York Congressman Anthony Weiner announced that he had continued sexting with women after resigning from Congress in 2011, the airline posted a “The Weiner Rises Again” promotion starring Weiner’s alter ego, Carlos Danger.

Ford has dodged calls for his resignation ever since it was discovered that he had been caught on film using cocaine during “drunken stupors” while in office. He initially lied about the allegations, but has since come clean. Ford has also been accused of making lewd comments to a female employee last year.

The mayor, who is currently serving his first term in office, plans on running for re-election next year.
