During a panel on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” Monday, Hillary Clinton fan Donny Deutsch called the politician’s tour for her new book Hard Choices a “disaster” and speculated that “Hillary fatigue” might be to blame.
“Do people want to change the channel at this point?” Deutsch told host Joe Scarborough, alluding to the fact that people may be getting tired of Hillary. Americans could be yawning over her complaints about her money problems, or perhaps it’s her dismissal of personal blame for the Benghazi scandal that’s turning them off.
“She’s even getting in fights with liberal NPR hosts,” reminded Scarborough, “really uncomfortable fights.” In particular, Clinton snapped at “Fresh Air” host Terry Gross last week during their discussion of her support for gay marriage.
So is it the American people who are tired of Hillary, or Hillary herself who is just tired? There’s been great debate over Clinton’s age and whether or not she would be too old to serve as president, should she decide to join the race for the oval office in 2016. After all, irritability can be a symptom of tiredness, and the “Hillary fatigue” will only get worse with age. Can America handle a president who routinely bites off the heads of NPR hosts?
