Donald Trump merchandise is for sale in Mexico, but they’re not selling action figures.
Mexican artisan Dalton Avalos Ramirez has created the Trump piñata, featuring his signature hair and big mouth.
The piñata was fist displayed on Friday at Ramirez’s store, according to the Associated Press.
Ramirez said he created it as a reaction to the comments Trump made about Mexicans during his campaign kickoff.
Trump said the immigrants coming from Mexico were “rapists” that were “bringing drugs” and “bringing crime.”
“They are not our friend, believe me,” Trump said in his campaign announcement. “When Mexico sends its people, it is not sending its best.”
Ramirez’s artwork gives his fellow Mexicans a chance to hit back at those assertions.
“People want to burn the piñatas. They want to break them,” Ramirez said.
