With literal songs being written about her titled, “Run Liz Run,” and every single interview including a question about her potential candidacy in 2016, the obsession with Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D- Mass.) is fairly obvious.
Late night host Seth Meyers mocked the insanity surrounding the freshman senator and played clips of her repeated denials that she would consider running for president.
“At this point, Elizabeth Warren might have to be the first person to make a not-campaign poster,” Meyers joked.
“While I appreciate the media’s need to incessantly ask these questions, we have to remember that just because somebody’s a politician doesn’t mean we can’t take them at their word,” Meyers said at the end of the segment.
Unfortunately, a clip of then-Sen. Barack Obama from 2006 saying that he wouldn’t run makes that a little hard to believe.
