The fake love of Communists is on full display in the Laura Ingraham-David Hogg debacle

For anyone who’s been following the Laura Ingraham-David Hogg debacle, you’ll find the country has hit a new low of bowing down to Leftist rage. Ingraham was forced to apologize to Hogg, the 17-year-old school shooting survivor turned activist after he managed to convince several of her advertisers to pull sponsorship from her show.

Why? Because after he arrogantly rebuked his top choice colleges for not accepting him, Ingraham pointed out that he is a perfect example of a hot-headed tyrannical dictator, who we’ve now confirmed has way too much influence for his age. Hogg later responded to Ingraham on Twitter and in the media, rejecting her apology.

Christian commentator Matt Walsh astutely analyzed the spat in one tweet.

For decades, this country has slowly been creeping further to the left, but God forbid we move an inch in the right direction! Amazingly we let the Left continually attack and condemn us while we bow down and placate to their demands. We want things to stay the same and that is why we are constantly forced to compromise with progressive legislation. This is the spirit of pragmatism — a principleless ideology that is quickly eroding our republic.

Those on the Right strive to be the bigger person, offering free speech protections and civility to those we disagree. When we get into fights we are eager to forgive, forget, and move on instead of wallowing in our hate or trying to control others with guilt. We would want someone to do the same for us and know that acknowledging our mistakes is what allows us to grow.

These are basic Judeo-Christian values which form the basis of stable relationships and thereby a society based on law and order. The resistance, however, is not interested in cooling off, but instead institutionalizing anger and hate against the Right. In a move of hypocrisy, they call this behavior “love and tolerance.”

The love that the Left offers is not love. It’s a distorted sham predicated on the idea that unity comes from diversity. Christians instead believe in individualism, but recognize that we will always put Jesus first in our lives. The Left has managed to rally in hate around President Trump’s name just like Christians unite behind Jesus’s name in love.

Of course, Trump’s decorum does not always represent Christians, but rather the Nietzschean “master morality.” Nonetheless, President Trump is who we elected and it was because we were tired of giving in to the Left. We were tired of being those pragmatists that were always losing ground. There was no better option for us, and I believe his brash personality was the only thing that could keep this country afloat.

Looking forward, however, it’s only a matter of time before swarms of socialist college students graduate and far-left politics take over our country. And when the country realizes the social consequences of their religion of hate, that is when the truly faithful will step in and offer forgiveness to bring the country back into communion.

There is hope for countries that have banned the god of love (1 John 4:8). During the Cold War, Joseph Stalin once said, “By May, 1st, 1937, there should not be one single church left within the borders of Soviet Russia, and the idea of God will have been banished from the Soviet Union.”

Today, since the fall of communism, more than 25,000 churches have been restored and 75 percent of Russians now identify as Russian Orthodox Christians. Soon, the Left will see that rest doesn’t come from social justice, medication, a better diet, or weed, but only from the moral assurance of salvation that comes with accepting Christ as lord.

A Trump revolution won’t redirect the country, but a full pendulum swing from the “loving Left” to the love of God will.
