O’Reilly and Stewart duke it out over ‘white privilege’

Jon Stewart had one goal in bringing Bill O’Reilly on his show Wednesday evening: “I want you to admit that there is such a thing as white privilege.”

“If there’s white privilege then there has to be Asian privilege, because Asians make more money than whites,” O’Reilly argued.

In response, Stewart insisted that white people “set the system.”

“Maybe you haven’t figured out that there is no more slavery, no more Jim Crow, and the most powerful man in the world is a black American, and the most powerful woman in the world, Oprah Winfrey, is black!” O’Reilly exclaimed.

“Being able to give people free cars does not make you the most powerful woman in the world,” Stewart shot back.

“It exists for every race,” O’Reilly said.

Stewart tried to pin O’Reilly down by pointing out that black people were not allowed to grow up in the same neighborhood that O’Reilly did in the 1950s, where O’Reilly got his “values.”

“There were millions of black neighborhoods that ‘built values’,” O’Reilly objected.
