Ron Paul: Hillary Clinton would make ‘pretty average, pretty mediocre’ president

Former presidential candidate and outspoken libertarian Ron Paul thinks Hillary Clinton would make a “pretty mediocre” president.

Paul, who is father to potential presidential candidate Rand Paul, told Larry King in an interview on “PoliticKING” Thursday that Hillary Clinton wouldn’t be a good change — or a change at all — from President Obama if she were to be elected to the Oval Office in 2016.

“I would think she’d be pretty average, pretty mediocre, pretty much for war, pretty much for welfare-ism, pretty much for deficits, pretty supportive of the Federal Reserve and loving the military-industrial complex,” detailed the former presidential candidate and Texas congressman.

“But, that’s what we’ve been having,” Paul added, “so I don’t think she would provide any change whatsoever in a positive sense.”

When asked if Clinton would be “formidable” in her potential bid for president, Paul answered in the affirmative, but emphasized the fact that she won’t be immune to media scrutiny.

“The media love her,” Paul affirmed. “But, she’ll get beat up too.”

Paul’s sentiment about Hillary’s relationship with the media seems generous, especially considering she had reporters at the Clinton Global Initiative event followed to the bathroom. Even former New York Times editor Jill Abramson has complained of Clinton’s “unrealistic” expectations of journalists.
