Seriously. He’d like Dick Cheney to light himself on fire with it. (But for a good cause!)
Maher took the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge in a video posted to Funny or Die, and immediately moved to a second, different challenge.
“This is a gallon of gasoline. I’m going to pour it on my head, and I challenge other people to take the Set Yourself on Fire Challenge to wipe out malaria in our lifetime,” Maher said, before taking a lighter to himself and going up in a flame of special effects. (Talk about a Song of Ice and Fire.)
“Challenge others to do it, too!” he continued. “I challenge … Dick Cheney!”
A Google search reveals that the Set Yourself on Fire Challenge doesn’t appear to be an actual thing.
