ISIS demands a safe space… from donkeys

Social justice warriors have invaded the Islamic State. And their trigger warning? Donkeys.

The Iraqi news website, al-Sumaria News, reported that militants went on a killing spree of donkeys in the ISIS-held city of Mosul after someone plastered them with images of their dear leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, and subsequently let them loose.

“Unidentified persons put the photos of the ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi on donkeys in central Mosul — and this pushed the ISIS members to pursue the donkeys to kill them,” al-Sumaria said. “ISIS mobilized its fighters in the city and raided a house in order to search for the people who hung Baghdadi’s pictures on the donkeys.”

It’s currently uncertain how many donkeys were attacked or killed.

In the Middle East, donkeys are considered low, dirty creatures and the juxtaposition of the so-called caliph with the animal, for lack of a better comparison, made Baghdadi look like an ass.

It’s well documented that groups like ISIS and Al-Qaeda, as well as their many sympathizers, are easily offended by jokes, cartoons, and virtually anything that seems to mock them.

In September, a Jordanian journalist was murdered before appearing in court for posting an anti-ISIS cartoon on Facebook. And, in January 2015, two Al-Qaeda terrorists stormed the offices of Charlie Hebdo murdering 12 people and injuring 11 others for drawing and mocking the Prophet Muhammad.

I guess on the bright side is that liberals won’t kill you if you make fun of their safe spaces and trigger warnings (yet).
